This year's festival off-programme offers up two special events. On November 11th, Kryl on Kampa pays tribute to legendary songwriter Karel Kryl with reminiscences from his former colleagues, recitations of Kyrl's poetry, and a singalong around a campfire.
On November 17th, we mark the 35th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution at CAMP with the all-day event Soundtrack of Prague: Freedom, featuring a specially-commissioned video essay combining archive material, photographs, and maps in a contemporary visual composition. The essay captures the events of November '89 and places them in the context of the urban architecture and city life of the time. The event will include performances from singer-songwriters, debates, and presentations of citizens' initiatives. Entry is free to both events. More info here.
