Prague Sounds is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a programme that confirms its reputation as a genre-defying, curatorially unique festival. The jubilee edition features Czech premieres of major international artists, special festival projects, and the return of some favourite artists from previous years.
The highlight is a residency at Rudolfinum made up of four contrasting evenings, ranging from the music of Steve Reich and jazz star Samara Joy to immersive audiovisual electronica from Max Cooper, and the Czech premiere of sitarist Anoushka Shankar’s 'Chapters' project, with the Prague Symphony Orchestra (FOK).
Additionally, the festival presents the Czech premieres of Anna Meredith, Kojey Radical, and a new collaborative project by Lenka Dusilová and Katta. Making a return are Hiromi, Theatre of Voices, and Brooklyn Rider. This year’s "Choice" club night is being curated by Ondřej Pivec. View the full program here.
